First of all, President Long introduced the participating experts and gave a welcome speech. Academician Shen Changxiang awarded the appointment letters to the four new members who were honored to be invited, Academician Mao Xinping, Professor Wang Luning, Professor Xie Bing and Director JI Zhiyuan.
Then, Professor Zhang Dezheng, director of the laboratory, reported on the construction of the laboratory in 2020, the completion of key projects, collaborative innovation of the laboratory, and the work planning for 2021.
The participating experts listened to the work summary of 2020, highly recognized the work done and the achievements of the laboratory, and considered the work plan of 2021, put forward guiding suggestions around laboratory construction, team building, talent training, social contribution, etc. They hoped that the laboratory would highlight its advantages in the field of artificial intelligence, focus on solving the fundamental frontier and key technology problems in the field of materials, and promote materials science and The laboratory should focus on solving the fundamental frontier and key technology problems in the field of materials, and promote the deep integration of material science and artificial intelligence. Strengthen team building and talent cultivation, form a general platform combining material field and information technology, and provide experimental environment and scientific research service platform for cultivating compound talents in material science and computer science. Next, Prof. Xiaotong Zhang presented a lecture entitled "Materials Genetic Engineering Data Repository, Storage and Management Service Platform", which gave a wonderful explanation of materials genetic engineering related technologies.
Finally, Zhang Zehao, deputy director of Beijing Technology Exchange Promotion Center, gave an important instruction on the notes for the assessment of the key laboratory, hoping that the laboratory could grasp the positioning and direction and achieve better development in the future.
